Association Meetings

The Association holds three meetings each year: spring, summer, and fall. The annual meeting, required by the By-laws, is held the second Saturday in July. The spring and fall meetings are typically held in early April and October and are held at Somerset Township Meeting Room, adjacent to the Fire/Sheriff station. Meeting reminders with location and start time will be sent to all POA members via email, and placards for the annual meeting will be posted at the meeting entrances.

Current Meeting Schedule:

  • Fall: October 5, 2024
  • Spring: April 26, 2025
  • Summer: July 12, 2025
  • Fall: October 18, 2025

New Neighbor - CLPL Member Information

Welcome to the Crystal and Perch Lake community. We are happy to have you in the community. The water, the shoreline and the life contained within are all part of our shared resource, our ‘commons’.  If you would like a hardcopy of the new neighbor handbook, please submit a request via the Contact Form.  Enjoy the lake, the local community and events, and all that the surrounding area has to offer.

Our community has a long tradition of sharing the lakes with respect for each other and nature, with a peaceful, quiet, and beautiful place to fish, swim, boat, and observe wildlife. Best practices include:

  • Thoughtful use of outdoor lights, which can impact people and birds, with minimal outdoor lighting and turning off lights when not necessary.
  • Always maintain a slow, no wake, boat speed. No combustible engines are to be used on the lakes. (Exceptions apply to the Sheriff, DNR officers or lake management vendors).
  • Avoid loud music, and minimize dog barking, as noise is significantly amplified by the water.

Activities & Events

The CLPL activity committee is chaired by a Board Trustee and volunteers. We host special events and fundraisers and encourage all community members to join in the fun.

Annual Picnic and Chili Cook-off

Each summer everyone is invited to the annual picnic/membership party, usually held at McCourtie Park. It is always a good time! And as the days get cooler and we shift into the fall join in the chili cook off. Always yummy and a great chance to visit with lake friends.

Boat Parade and Flotillas

When there is sufficient interest, the Events Committee will host a boat parade.  Decorate your boat with the red, white, and blue and join the group as we slowly motor, pedal or paddle our way around the lake commemorating the 4th of July.   Or, if ‘happy hour’ is more your speed, look for announcements for the summer flotillas.

Social Media: Facebook and NextDoor

Connect with other lake community members online by joining the CLPLPOA Facebook Group, a private, member only collective, moderated by a POA member, (you must request access to join the group). There is also a NextDoor group for our community that you may want to join.

Website Development

There is an ongoing need for good writers, editors, and graphic designers. For instance, we would like to develop a new page on the History of the Lake Community. If you interested in helping in anyway, please contact Patty Maher (mpvmaher@gmail.com)
